Diddy Throws His Hat In For The Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers after a rough start of the season look like they are going to be heading to the playoffs. Good news for the Panthers as a team, but a grey cloud looms over them as their owner Jerry Richardson finds himself on the bad end of the rising trend of sexual harassment cases surfacing. This put him in the situation of announcing that he will be putting the Carolina Panthers up for sale. The fact that the Panthers are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, with one of the most marketable QBs under center, of course it would bring a lot of interest.
Yesterday I talked about how Vince McMahon bringing back the XFL was a good move. Now think if fresh new blood came in as an owner in the NFL, and guess what new blood took to the internet first to throw his hat in the ring, P. Diddy himself. Even though he did not realize it is the Carolina Panthers, representing both north and south, not just the north. He brought to the table of bringing in Colin Kaepernick in to compete for a job in the NFL. Even though Kap would not win a starting job over Cam, he would be a great back up for Cam and even more trouble for opposing teams. Just think, Cam goes down but still have to deal with Kap who basically has the same style.
Right now they are saying the team could go for 2.5 billion to 2.8 billion dollars, which Richardson when he purchased the team was only for 206 million. Well Diddy seems to have a couple of people interested in helping him with this purchase. So all we can do is wait and see how this plays out.
